bullet 11/2 kg chicken, cut into 12 pieces
bullet 1 tbsp onion, chopped
bullet 3/4 tsp ginger paste
bullet 3/4 tsp garlic paste
bullet 11/2 - 21/2 tsp red chillies, coarsely ground
bullet 1 tsp each coriander and cumin seeds roasted and coarsely ground
bullet Pinch of turmeric
bullet 2 inch piece cinnamon stick
bullet 3 stalks curry patta
bullet Juice of 4 lemons
bullet 4-5 tbsp instant coconut powder
bullet 600 ml water
bullet 2-3 tbsp oil
  • Mix all the ingredients except oil and boil until chicken is tender. Remove chicken pieces from gravy and fry till slightly brown.
  • Pour gravy over the chicken and simmer for 5-10 minutes.
  • Serve with boiled rice.

Serves 4 - 6
Preparation Time: 5 - 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 20 minutes
