Chocolate Icing

bullet 200 g cooking chocolate and
bullet 200 ml cream melt cream and chocolate over low heat and mix well. Cool a little and pour over the top and the sides of the cake.
  • Line a springform of about 23 cm in diameter, with aluminium foil, grease the lining and dust with flour. (See Note below) Preheat the oven! Bake in medium hot oven for about 45 minutes, or until fully cooked when tested with a skewer. Cool for 10 minutes then remove from the tin. When completely cooled off, turn the cake upside down, then cut it horizontally into two. Make the following filling:
  • Filling: Spoon some chocolate mixture into a pastry bag with a small nozzle. Place the pastry bag into the refrigerator until the chocolate has become thicker, then decorate the cake.
  • Note: If you use a springform, line it with foil right up to the top of the rim in order to avoid the dough from leaking out between the base and the rim.
