Methi ka Paratha Recipe

bullet White flour 2 cups
bullet Methi leaves 3 tbsp
bullet Milk, cold 3/4 teacup
bullet Black pepper powder 1/2 tsp
bullet Desi ghee 2 tbsp + for frying
bullet Salt to taste
  • Sieve the flour, salt and black pepper. Rub in 2 tbsp of ghee into the flour. Add methi, then add milk and knead flour into a firm dough. Cover and set aside for 40 minutes.
  • Divide dough into 4 portions. Roll each into a smooth ball. Roll out each ball like chapati. Heat a tawa and cook the paratha on each side till half done without using ghee. Then put a tbsp of ghee on the paratha and fry both sides.
  • Serve hot with methi karahi chicken or raita.

Cooking Time: 20 minutes
