Whole Wheat
flour 1 lb\ |

Minced meat 1/2
lb ground |

Onion 1 |

Coriander
powder 1 tsp |

Chili powder 1/2
tsp |

Garam masala 1
tsp |

Salt to taste |

Ghee or butter |

- Mince
the onion. Heat 2 tbsp ghee or butter and sauté onion till a
golden brown.
- Add
coriander, chili powder, garam masala and salt and fry till
nicely brown.
- Add 2
tbsp water and simmer till tender. If necessary, add more
water and fry till dry. Meanwhile, sieve flour with salt,
rub in a little butter, add water and knead well into stiff
soft dough.
- Break
off small portions and roll into 8 paper-thin, round, even
chappatis.
- Smear
one chappati with ghee and place another on it, smear again
and place another until you have a layer of four.

Sprinkle the surface with a little water and spread a thin
layer of meat. Cover with four more chappatis with a smear
of ghee between each.
- Enough
for 3 such parathas. Roast on a tava till lightly golden,
add a little ghee on the sides and fry on both sides till
nicely brown and crisp.
