bullet 3/4 kg 4 veal steaks
bullet 3/4 inch thick each
bullet 4 slices tongue
bullet 4 slices cheddar cheese
bullet 2 tbsp flour
bullet 2 eggs
bullet 3 tbsp breadcrumbs, dried
bullet 3 tbsp butter
bullet 1 lemon
bullet Lettuce leaves
bullet Salt
bullet White pepper
  • Make horizontal incisions in veal steaks to make deep pockets. Flatten steaks slightly with the palm of your hand and season with salt and pepper. Slide a slice of tongue and cheese each into each pocket and fasten opening with wooden cocktail stick. Roll steaks in flour, and beaten egg and finally in breadcrumbs.
  • Heat the butter and fry steaks 6-8 minutes on each side until well browned. Arrange them on a heated serving dish and garnish with lemon wedges and lettuce leaves.

Serves 4
