How to Make Wax at Home

Ingredients

Sugar 1 cup
Sour lime 1

Method

Melt the sugar, taking care that it does not stick. Keep stirring until you see it melting and start adding the juice of lime. When you see it foaming and becoming thicker, remove it from the heat and allow cooling. Apply only when warm, as hot wax can burn the skin badly.

Smooth the wax on the skin in the direction of the hair growth with a flat blunt knife. Let it set. Then take a strip of cloth, press it well on the wax-covered skin and strip it off in the opposite direction of hair growth.

Make sure that before waxing, your skin is absolutely dry. If necessary, dust it with talcum powder. After waxing sponge off with warm water to which an antiseptic is added to prevent any infection or rash. Also, rub on cold cream or any other soothing lotion or lavender oil. The few straggly hair that remains can easily be plucked off or removed by threading.

چینی کو گرم کریں، لکڑی کے چمچ سے ہلاتے ہوئے چینی کو پگھلالیں اور ساتھ لیموں کا رس بھی ڈال دیں۔ جب یہ گاڑھی ہو جائے تو آنچ سے ہٹا کے ٹھنڈا کر لیں۔ جب نیم گرم ہو تب استعمال کریں کیونکہ گرم ویکس جلد کو جلا دیتی ہے۔

ایک ہموار چُھری کی مدد سے جس رُخ پر بال ہوں اُس طرف ویکس لگائیں، اوپر جینز یا موٹے کپڑے کا پیس رکھ کے دبائیں اور بالوں کے رُخ کے مُخالف سمت زور سے کھنچ کے اُتار دیں۔

خیال رہے کہ ویکس کرنے سے پہلے آپ کی جلد مکمل طور پر خشک ہے اگر ضرورت محسوس ہو تو ٹالکم پاؤڈر لگا لیں۔ ویکس کے بعد نیم گرم پانی سے دھو لیں اور پھر کولڈ کریم یا لیونڈر تیل لگا لیں۔ اگر کوئی بال رہ جائے تو تھریڈنگ سے اُتار لیں۔
