So here you are to learn pretty Swiss roll with step by step instructions.

  • Things you will need:

  • Cake mix 2

  • Food colors as required

  • Parchment paper

  • Pencil

  • Piping bags with fine thin tip nozzle

  • Swiss roll pan

  • Directions:

  • Step # 1

  • Select any pattern like strawberry, cherry, cartoon, any motif or greeting sentence like happy mothers’ day, good evening, thank you, etc whatever you like according to occasion. Draw the design on parchment paper with the help of pencil.

  • Step # 2

  • Divide your cake mix into small bowls for required color quantity and add food color into all portions. Lay the parchment paper on swiss roll pan or tray.

  • Step # 3

  • Fill your piping bag with colored cake mix and start filling on pattern.  Make sure parchment paper is pressed flat with no wrinkle. Fill all colors one by one patiently.

  • Step # 4

  • After filling all colors in pattern, bake it for 3 minutes at mark 2. This will help your pattern design not to spread or mess up.

  • Step # 5

  • Pour and spread cake’s plain batter evenly over baked design and let it bake for 10-15 minutes at 200 C. When done let it cool and remove parchment paper. Spread any desired filling like cream, chocolate or jam and roll it up.
