bullet Chicken, cut into 16 pieces 1 kg
bullet Tomatoes, pureed 3, medium
bullet Yogurt or cream 1/2 cup
bullet Green chillies 2
bullet Coriander and mint leaves for garnish
bullet Chilli powder 3 pinches
bullet Almonds, powdered 8
bullet Ginger / garlic paste 4 tsp
bullet Desi ghee or butter 5 tbsp
bullet Salt to taste
  • Heat gheelbutter in a large pan and fry chicken pieces for 10 minutes or until chicken is cooked. Add chilli powder and salt to the chicken, mix well and let it fry for 3 minutes.
  • Remove the chicken and in the same oil fry green chillies and ginger 1 garlic paste till it turns light brown. Add tomato puree and continue stirring till the oil separates from spices.
  • Add the fried chicken pieces, whipped yogurt or cream and almond powder.
  • Cook for 10 minutes. Garnish with coriander and mint leaves.
  • Serve hot with naan or parathas.
