bullet Chicken boneless 1 1/2 kg, cut into small cubes
bullet Butter 2 tbsp
bullet Yogurt 1 teacup
bullet Almonds 20
bullet Green chillies 12
bullet Mint leaves 8 tbsp
bullet Coriander powder 1 tsp
bullet Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
bullet Black pepper powder 1/2 tsp
bullet Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
bullet Chilli powder 1/2 tsp
bullet Oil 4 tbsp
bullet Salt to taste
  • Put the yogurt, butter, salt, mint leaves, green chillies and almonds in a mixer grinder and make a paste. Marinate the chicken in the paste for 2 hours.
  • In a saucepan heat oil and add marinated chicken. Fry on high heat till chicken changes colour, then simmer on low heat for few minutes. Turn up the heat and fry the chicken again until tender, add black pepper, turmeric, chilli powder, coriander and garam masala, mix well and cook for a few more minutes.
  • Serve hot garnished with mint leaves. If you want gravy then add some water and stir on low heat. When it becomes thick, Mirapuri chicken with gravy, is ready.
  • Serve with methi paratha or naan.
